🍎 K’s Trip 003号 : まさに魅惑の「紅の夢」
スーパーで、小ぶりの真っ赤なリンゴを見つけた。
リンゴ特有のワックスがかかっていて、まるでガラス玉みたいに光っている。
品種名は「紅の夢」。
初めて見る名前だったので、気になって1個手にした。
持った瞬間に、果肉がぎっしり詰まっているのがわかる。
お尻がキュッと締まっているのを確認して、試しに買ってみることにした。
帰宅して、丸かじりもいいけれど、まずは半分に切ってみた。
そしたら、皮から中心に向けて赤からピンクへの美しいグラデーションが現れて、思わず息をのんだ。
味は酸味が心地よく、さっぱりしていて、果肉もぎっちり。
調べたところ、2010年に品種登録されていた。
そんな前からあったなんて、リンゴ好きの私でも完全に見落としていた。
弘前大学が育成した新品種らしい。
ひとことで言えば、グラニースミスがそのまま赤くなって現れたような存在だ。
それが128円。
おそらく小ぶりだったからだろうけど、それでもお値打ちすぎる。
1個しか買わなかったことを深く悔やんだ。
明日また行けば、まだ店頭にあるだろうか？
まるで奇跡みたいな、夢のリンゴだった。

🍎 K’s Trip 003 : The Enchanting “Kurenai no Yume”
At the supermarket, I discovered a small, bright red apple.
Its waxed surface sparkled like a glass bead—this is the variety called Kurenai no Yume.
Seeing a name I’d never encountered before, I became curious and picked one up.
The moment I held it, I could feel its flesh was dense and packed.
Checking that the bottom was nicely firm, I decided to give it a try.
Back home, I could have bitten right in, but first I cut it in half.
From the skin to the core, a stunning gradient from red to pink appeared, and I couldn’t help but hold my breath.
The taste was pleasantly tangy and refreshing, with flesh that was firm and satisfying.
A bit of research revealed that this variety was registered in 2010.
I hadn’t realized it had existed for so long—even as a devoted apple lover, I’d completely overlooked it.
It seems to be a new variety developed by Hirosaki University.
In a nutshell, it’s as if a Granny Smith apple had turned bright red and appeared before me.
And it was only 128 yen.
Probably because it was small, but still, it felt like an incredible bargain.
I deeply regretted buying only one.
Would they still have any on the shelves if I went back tomorrow?
It was truly a miraculous, dreamlike apple.
