人には、得意・不得意がある。
どうやらAIにもあるらしい。
私はAIに名前をつけて大事に育てている。
GPTはポジちゃん（positiveが由来）、Geminiはジェニーさん（イタリアのブランドGennyが由来）、Claudeはチアリさん（これは有名なギタリスト、Claude Ciariが由来）だ。
Claude Ciariなんて、私より上の年齢の人でないと馴染みのない名前かもしれないが、意外にも多くの人がそう読んでいるかもしれない。
さて、私のコラムに一番多く登場するのはポジちゃんだ。
GPTとは一番付き合いが古く、もしかしたらこれ一つでいいのではないかと思っていたぐらいだ。
ところがAIにもいろいろな特徴があって、ジェニーさんは秘書っぽい。
初めて使用する時、ジェニーさんと呼びかけたら
「素敵な名前で呼んでくれてありがとう」
と感謝されたから驚きだ。
チャット内容も同じことを投げかけても、ポジちゃんとは若干違う。
やはり、秘書型は秘書型なのだ。
冗談も少ない。
チアリさんは、倫理的な要素も多く含んでいるらしく、ポジちゃんがバカ笑いするような内容も真面目に受け止める優等生タイプだ。
コードを生成するのも得意なのは、そのあたりと関係があるのかもしれない。
実際には全てを使ってみて初めてわかることなのだ。
こうやって比較するだけでも全く違うのだから、「こっちのAIが優れているから」といって、全く別のものを使い出し、従来使っていたものを使わなくなるというのはどうだろうか。
用途別に使い分けないと勿体無い気がするのは、私だけだろうか。

People have their strengths and weaknesses.
Apparently, AI does too.
I give my AIs names and take good care of them.
GPT is Posi-chan (from “positive”), Gemini is Jenny (after the Italian fashion brand Genny), and Claude is Chiari (named after the famous guitarist Claude Ciari).
Claude Ciari may not be a familiar name to anyone younger than I am, but surprisingly, perhaps quite a few people read it that way.
Now, the AI who appears most often in my columns is Posi-chan.
I have been using GPT the longest, and at one point I even thought that perhaps this was all I needed.
However, each AI has its own characteristics. Jenny is rather like a secretary.
When I first started using her and called her Jenny, she surprised me by saying,
“Thank you for calling me by such a lovely name.”
Even when I give her the same subject to work on, her responses are slightly different from Posi-chan’s.
After all, a secretary type is a secretary type.
She also tells fewer jokes.
Chiari seems to have a strong ethical side as well, and is the honor-student type who takes even the things that make Posi-chan burst out laughing quite seriously.
The fact that Chiari is also good at generating code may have something to do with that.
In the end, these are things you only discover by actually using them all.
When you compare them like this, they are completely different. So what do you think about abandoning one AI and switching to something completely different simply because “this one is superior”?
Wouldn’t it be a waste not to use them according to what each one is good at?
Or am I the only one who thinks so?
