これはSFとしてかなりありそうだ。
「犯罪用ロボット、レンタルします」
みたいな会社が地下にあって、
悪党A「警備ロボットを突破したいんだけど・・・」
業者「では、このモデルを」
悪党A「いくら？」
業者「一泊30万円です」
悪党A「高っ！！」
業者「最新型なので」
悪党A「じゃあ旧型で」
業者「旧型はもう予約いっぱいです」
しかも、ここがフィジカルAIの怖いところで、AIそのものが悪いというより、「身体」を持った機械を誰が何の目的で使うかという問題が出てくる。
悪の天才は、自分でロボットを開発するより、
「買う必要はない。必要な時だけ借りればいい」
とか言い出す。
まさにレンタカー感覚だ。
さらにレンタル会社側が、
「当社は利用目的について一切関知しません」
とか言い始めたら、もう完全に悪徳企業だ！！
そして捜査する側には「ロボット犯罪対策課」ができる。
そこで登場するのが、
バドー型ロボット犯罪者 vs ロボット刑事、ではない。
ただ現実には、こういう悪用を防ぐために、利用者の認証・遠隔停止・操作記録・使用場所の制限などの安全設計がかなり重要になってくるだろう。
そうなってくると警察側もそれに対抗する処置として、新たなフィジカルAIを開発することに税金を投じるだろう。
下手すりゃ、国民の税金も上がるかもしれない。
昔は国対国で戦争が起こる度に、科学技術を武器として対抗していた。
そしてフィジカルAIの時代には、それがもっと身近な犯罪と防犯の競争にも使われるようになるかもしれない。

😎 K’s COLUMN 072 : The Evil Physical AI Industry
This sounds quite plausible as a science-fiction scenario.
Imagine an underground company offering something like:
“Criminal robots for rent.”
Bad Guy A: “I need to get past a security robot…”
Rental Agent: “Then I recommend this model.”
Bad Guy A: “How much?”
Rental Agent: “¥300,000 for one night.”
Bad Guy A: “What?! That’s expensive!”
Rental Agent: “It’s the latest model.”
Bad Guy A: “Then I’ll take an older one.”
Rental Agent: “Sorry, but the older models are already fully booked.”
And this is where physical AI gets really scary.
The problem isn’t necessarily that the AI itself is evil.
It’s what happens when a machine with a “body” can be used by anyone, for any purpose.
The evil genius might even say:
“You don’t need to buy a robot.
Just rent one whenever you need it.”
Basically, it’s a rental-car business.
And if the rental company starts saying,
“We take no responsibility for how our robots are used.”
then it’s officially a shady criminal enterprise!!
Meanwhile, the people investigating these crimes would probably get a new department called the “Robot Crime Division.”
And then we would have—
Not a showdown between Bado-style robot criminals and Robot Detective.
In the real world, however, preventing this kind of misuse would require things like user authentication, remote shutdown capabilities, operation logs, and restrictions on where the robots can be used.
At that point, the police would also invest tax money in developing new physical AI systems to counter them.
And before you know it, our taxes might even go up.
In the past, whenever wars broke out between nations, science and technology were developed and used as weapons to counter the other side.
And in the age of physical AI, the same kind of technological competition might also find its way into something much closer to everyday life: the competition between crime and crime prevention.
